St. Patrick's Day Puppy Chow

Ingredients
- 9 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips or candy melts
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup Lucky Charms marshmallows
- 1 cup green M&Ms
- 2 tbsp gold sprinkles or sanding sugar
- 3-5 drops green gel food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Place Rice Chex cereal in a very large mixing bowl.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate and butter in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Stir in vanilla extract and optional green food coloring until fully combined.
- Pour melted chocolate mixture over cereal and gently toss until evenly coated.
- Let coated cereal cool for 2–3 minutes, then transfer to a large zip-top bag with powdered sugar.
- Seal bag and shake vigorously until all cereal pieces are fully coated in powdered sugar.
- Spread coated cereal onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and allow to dry for 10–15 minutes.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and gently mix in Lucky Charms marshmallows, green M&Ms, and gold sprinkles.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
Allow the chocolate-coated cereal to cool slightly before adding powdered sugar to prevent melting. Store in an airtight container away from humidity to maintain crispness. For a mint variation, add 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract to the melted chocolate.
