Equipment

  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • mixing bowls
  • whisk
  • tongs or spatula
  • oven

Ingredients

  • 14 oz extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/3 cup buffalo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter or vegan butter (optional, for sauce)
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pat tofu dry and cut into cubes.
  • In a bowl, toss tofu cubes with cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. Drizzle with olive oil and toss again.
  • Spread tofu on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together buffalo sauce, melted butter, and honey (if using). Toss baked tofu with the sauce until coated.
  • Serve immediately with celery sticks and a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing.

Notes

Make ahead: You can bake the tofu in advance and store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to restore crispiness. Toss with buffalo sauce right before serving. Serve with celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dressing for a complete meal.
