Equipment

  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • microwave-safe bowl
  • spoon or fork
  • refrigerator

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, rinsed and dried
  • 8 oz semisweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or shortening
  • optional white chocolate for drizzling
  • for garnish holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Make sure strawberries are completely dry.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and glossy.
  • Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.
  • Place dipped strawberries onto the prepared baking sheet and immediately top with holiday sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
  • If desired, drizzle with melted white chocolate for decoration.
  • Refrigerate for 15–20 minutes until the chocolate is firm, then serve or gift immediately.

Notes

Make sure the strawberries are completely dry before dipping so the chocolate adheres properly. You can use dark, milk, or white chocolate — or drizzle with contrasting chocolate for a decorative look. Store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, uncovered, to keep them glossy.
